Recap: 2023 China Overseas Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals and Awards Event

From October 22 to 23, the 2023 China Overseas Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals and Awards Ceremony were successfully held in Hefei, Anhui Province. Luo Hui, a member of the Party Leadership Group of China Association for Science and Technology and Minister of International Cooperation, and Zhang Ximing, a Member of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Minister of United Front Work, attended the award ceremony on the 23rd and delivered speeches.

The event featured nearly 50 overseas contestants who were extended invitations to participate in the Anhui Hefei finals. These invitations were made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Seventh Division (Helsinki, Finland) and the Eighth Division (Rome, Italy), which organized the project collection, recommendation, review, and coordination of talents from abroad.

Finals & Startup Incubation Camp

Each division will hold divisional competitions from July to September. After fierce competition, a total of more than 100 projects from the five major tracks were shortlisted for the annual finals. The 2023 China Overseas Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals and Startup Incubation Camp were held on October 22 in Hefei, Anhui.

Liu Yang, deputy general manager of Anhui TusDashu Technology Services Co., Ltd., gave a report on “China Venture Capital and Overseas Entrepreneurship Development in China: Interpretation of Local Policies and Investment Environment Hefei Investment Promotion Bureau”.

Cai Haozhong, deputy general manager of Anchuang Valley Science and Technology Park Co., Ltd., founder/CEO of Peter Tensen GlobalTechlP UK Global Technology Innovation Service Alliance, distinguished expert of China Association for Science and Technology Haizhi Plan, and Yu Fei, assistant director of Tsinghua University Technology Innovation Research Center, gave a speech on “Overseas Technology” A special report titled “Entrepreneurship Incubation and Acceleration Services for Innovative Talents” was made.

Wan Xinming, Chief Engineer of the Open Innovation Platform of Qingdao Haier Intelligent Technology R&D Co., Ltd., gave a report on “Interpretation of Industry Development Trends and Sharing of Key Cooperation Intentions by Leading Enterprises in the Core Fields of China’s Industrial Innovation”.

Yin Jianwen, COO of Xinfoxin International Patent Bank Operations, and Wang Xiaoxu, Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Association of Universities and Professor of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, gave a report on “Strategy and Practice of Intellectual Property Protection for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Projects in China”.
